Toymaker’s Shop

The idea behind "Toymaker's Shop" was inspired by steampunk bugs. The toymaker has placed some final touches on the Mayfly before going off to bed. The Mayfly has been left on the toymaker's cluttered desk where it lies shining against the desk lamp and the soft glow of the moonlight. From there I imagined the Mayfly to perk up in the middle of the night and observe its surroundings before flying off to the open window where the moon guides it. 

Below is the final render of the scene alongside a turntable video to demonstrate an idle animation I had created for the bug. The bug can be cranked by the windup key which triggers the wings to flap and the gears to turn.
